Pina Campagna was named partner in 2015 and has been with the firm since 2005. Her practice encompasses both patent and trademark intellectual property (IP) protection for U.S. and international business clients. Ms. Campagna’s patent practice centers on conducting freedom-to-operate searches and analysis, patentability studies, due diligence studies, and all aspects of patent preparation and prosecution. Her trademark practice includes conducting clearance searching and analysis; providing opinions regarding the registration and use of trademarks; preparation and prosecution of trademark applications; oppositions; and cancellations. She also does extensive agreement work relating to licensing, asset purchases, patent and trademark settlements, and assignments of IP rights.
Ms. Campagna followed her passion for science by attending Hofstra University where she earned a B.S. in biochemistry. She began her career as a research biochemist for Estée Lauder, conducting skin research. During her tenure with the company, Ms. Campagna leveraged her scientific expertise by taking on the role of patent consultant. She quickly perceived the opportunities available in patent law and attended Albany Law School of Union University where she earned her J.D. Over the years, Ms. Campagna has been instrumental in developing the firm’s trademark practice, design patent practice and international IP practice.

Ms. Campagna’s insight into biological and chemical innovations enables her to advise clients on building strategic IP portfolios that will give them a competitive advantage. By understanding our clients’ IP and business objectives, she develops global strategies to optimize the value of their patents and trademarks. Ms. Campagna also enjoys helping clients to develop trademarks and establish successful brands. Ms. Campagna routinely prepares opinions on trade dress and patentability, and advises clients regarding domain name disputes and protection.
